Boca police step up e-bike enforcement after 51 calls

Boca Raton police are cracking down on dangerous e-bike and e-moto riders after responding to at least 51 e-bike-related calls over the past year, according to WPTV. WPTV also reported that discussions are underway with neighboring communities about possible state legislation to address safety concerns.

LGBTQ-focused Acceptance Academy opens in Boca Raton this fall

Acceptance Academy, an LGBTQ-focused school, is coming to Boca Raton this fall, according to WPTV. WPTV cites a 2025 study by Glisten, which specializes in queer education, finding that two-thirds of LGBTQ students feel unsafe at school because of their gender or sexual expression, one-third look forward to going to school, and more than half feel discriminated against at school.
